Firm NewsKelsoe, Khoury recently won an important decision in the Supreme Court of Texas. In University of Texas Southwest Medical Center of Dallas v. Estate of Arancibia, 2010 WL 4144590 (Tex. Oct. 22, 2010), the Firm won at the trial court and in the Dallas Court of Appeals on the argument that the State had "actual notice" of its fault in causing the death of one of our clients. The State took the appeal to the Supreme Court of Texas, where the Solicitor General squared off against the firm, arguing that the notice was insufficient. The Supreme Court of Texas sided with the Firm, clarifying this important area of the law and allowing our clients a chance to have their day in court.
